[ORIGINALLY AIRED JULY 28TH 2019]

Season 4 Episode 3: Skully's really off the beaten path this time. Taking a dive into Visual Novels Solidus joins the Literature Club which without spoiling anything takes his emotions for a ride to the moon, the deepest pits of hell and slingshot right back around the Earth six times until landing back in Australia thus explaining why this review took so long to be released and not because of real life scheduling conflicts... Yeah we'll go with that.

Anyway, this is the return that should've been rather than Duel Masters which was more for my own satisfaction. Enjoy dudes and dudettes.

RUMINATIONS: As you can see this review was in the cards for a LOOOOONG time since the script was made shortly after the F.E.A.R review and sat on a shelf amdist several bottles of Jack Daniels and Corona beers until I was sober enough to take another look at the game and re-evaluate my opinions a little. Funny how time can make all the difference in how you look at something.

Either way I do still have a like and respect for DDLC and the passion Dan Salvato obviously put into the game. But unfortunately there's just a lot that I think needed refining and given the game as it is, this is really a concept you can only do once.

I certainly doubt we're getting a Doki Doki Literature Club 2 (Dan Salvato said as much if I remember correctly) so even if there is a lot that could've been better, from what we already have, its enjoyable, but inches from greatness if that makes any sense.
