A PRAYER FOR A WEDDING BY JEANNE D' ARC
Solemnly they take their marriage vows
Kneeling at the altar they entrust their futures to each other.
Lord, protect these children from the cruel, bitter thrust of life that cut the strongest loves in two.

Let their quarrels clear the air and never settle into deep
resentments.

Teach them patience....Grant them love that lasts forever.

Let them learn together how to keep the vows they make so confidently here.

In this troubled world, let them find the strength within each other
and refuge from their fears.

Let them hold love tightly but without the twists of jealousy that burn and smother
Let them LAUGH.... and grant they never lose faith in you
or trust in one another.

FLY FOR MY DAUGHTER BY JEANNE D'ARC
Mommy how high can I fly? Up to the moon, my darling daughter.....You are free to soar....free to swing on a moonbeam and realize your dreams.
Mommy, what if I fall? The wind will be here to catch you, my darling daughter to gather you in a gentle gust and place you back in my arms. Let the night embrace your deepest dreams, my darling daughter....Let stardust take you where it will...Close your eyes.....Don't be afraid to swing high.....Nothing is impossible for you in dreams. Let the morning dew cover you in its mantle of love....sent from Heaven above....Fly, my darling daughter....FLY

SOLILOQUY BY JEANNE D'ARC
Slowly, yet almost imperceptibly
the silent march of daylight quickens
and shortens, casting earlier
and longer shadows over
the parched earth at our feet.

The enervating beat of passive day
pales a little as the slight cooling
breezes of evening bring to us
a small but freshening touch
of softness to our cheeks.

The enormity of puffy white clouds,
delicately fringed and edged with blue
in summer, don a somber cloak
in shades of gray as the days
and months become shorter

A host of small things, afoot and swing,
flurry and scurry in their task of
husbanding, winter resources,
shunning play and with stilled voice,
conforming to God's plan.

Lush green and golden bands in country fields
contrast verdant waves of summer's grain
with rows of luminous stubble
as God puts His earth's great wealth
into Man's hands again.

As the glories of summer's lavish scene
begin to fade, being replaced by the equal splendor of autumn's
warm pastels and cooling nights,
we rejoice and give thanks.

TAPESTRY BY JEANNE D' ARC
Our lives are but a thread
in the tapestry of time
For, the weaving of mankind
is by infinite design

Embroidered in earth's course
and the firmament above
is man's pre-established path
interlaced with God's great love

Each sovereign stitch that's sewn
by the Master-Crafter's hand
is fashioned in the quilt
of His vast, eternal plan

The fabric of our days
is God's handiwork sublime
For, from heaven's sacr3ed loom
stems our slender thread in time___$$s

TEARS -- POETRY BY JEANNE D' ARC
Tears.....
hold back----
Don't rush in now
For, I've people
to care for---
work to be done

Later,
I'll let you
pour forth
with duties over
and no one to see
the sadness
behind the smile
that they think is me

IF -- ORIGINAL POETRY BY JEANNE D'ARC
IF the autumn of life is half as lovely
as the autumn of earth, I shall not
grieve for the vanished days of a
rapturous spring---
Nor beg for one moment of reprieve

I have loved the snows of dandelion and plum
that rivaled the frost-flakes mystic designs,
But, what of a world in crimson and gold
with wild grapes spilling their purple wines

And, if winter shall come? I am content
to leave my life in the hands of a God
whose mind could conceive the autumn of earth
And star it with asters and goldenrod

IN THE DISTANT DEEPS-- BY JEANNE D'ARC
In the distant deeps and hollows of your body
burn the passion of my soul
Your eyes.....as lucid pools of keenest topaz
make me lose all self control

Come, Sweet....feel my throbbing essence--yielding
entered now...e'er more to move

Lurid lips rose red and deep -- now parted
Fierce to meet mine own in love
Soaring, we two to kismet's highest heaven
Rapturous meld --my treasured dove

Protuberant, the silken skin of pointed passion
Breasts--twin hills of joy I see
A well of cool birds rise up to excite me
I am love's slave....your devotee

Quivering --- shaking in the throws of passion's pleasure
Burning fire of stars thrown down
Hewn now --- the sinews of my treasure
Subtle soft skin most renown

There's within my frame, this hammer to the anvil
Furnace fire of raw delight
Wings of most ardent love forever keeping
Now borne aloft on flames of night

Evening passion breathes her whispered song of sweet distraction
Night brings sighs as Moon smiles down
Gazing --- fine fix ed ....firm upon her
beauteous body's yielding crown

Come, Dear....Let us inhale this storm of love together
Cover me with gentle bliss
We lie in fields of pure Elysian beauty
enraptured by love's joyous kiss

In the distant deeps and hollows of your body
turgid is my love fore'er
Might our grand passion subsume reasoned thinking
Celestial peaks in maidenhair

COME---BE MY LOVE--BY JEANNE D'ARC
Come......ride a moonbeam to my heart
Enthrall me with your boyish charm
Disarm my will and meld my mind
My angel....and Sweetheart

Your love is infinite---divine
You set my soul ablaze
I gaze into your fervid eyes
And drink them in, as wine

Come....cover me with love sublime
Consume me with your fire
Desire burns within our souls
T'will last our whole lifetime

You are the sparkle in my eye
The dance I long for every day
You are the wings that lift my life
And make my spirit fly

Our love is caught in freedom's gaze
as reason's swept away
As you who changed my river's course
Now sets my soul ablaze

You are the joy my heart beats for
The laughter...passion....ecstasy
You are my treasure now---for e're
The one that I adore

Let yearning wash---as from above
O'er hearts now quickened---pulsing free
Be my allurement and my friend
Forever with me, Love

But....Should I fly away too soon,
I promise...though we are apart
That as Night's Curtain softly falls
I'll meet you....at our Moon

WELCOME HOME BY JEANNE D'ARC
I sat on the shore and I watched a ship
as it sailed across the sea
I waved goodbye as it faded from sight
as it sailed away from me

But, I knew as I waved and it went on its way
cutting across the foam
That there were those on the opposite shore
to raise the cry WELCOME HOME!!

When God says that my work is done
and my life slips from your sight,
Remember the love and joy
that we've known---
Remember the days that were bright

And know as we bid our fond farewell---
and my soul sets out to roam
that angels are gathering on the opposite shore --
To raise the cry WELCOME HOME!!

MOONGLOW BY JEANNE D'ARC
Low lying moon in autumn sky
Riparian ripples reflected in a midnight stream
The gleam of moonlight casts its glow
on sleepy squirrels and night hawks squawking
The hooting owl's nocturnal theme--
ALL seen in God's omniscient eye

Gold goddess...Orb of throbbing nights
Resplendent sight...Your luster dazzles and beguiles
Smile down on lovers here below
who know your glowing beauty beckons
through darkened dreary sub fusc skies
and tries to spark romantic rites

Bright sphere of light at Harvest time.....
Orange pumpkin rolling through the cloudy climes
Shine on.....shine on for all mankind
Night songs sung by the lonely loon---
A plaintive tune to autumn moon
The cast of moonglow is sublime

A CHOIR DIRECTOR'S LAMENT BY JEANNE D' ARC
OH, discontent and deep despair
If that's a choir....Life's just not fair

The bases blare, attempt to croon...
If only they could stay in tune!

And, talk about the tenors three--or five or two---what e'er shall be

The altos are a sorry lot....
For, altos, they are truly not

Sopranos stretch beyond their means....
Creating seismographic scenes

In dissonance, the sections wail.....
a 20 on the Richter scale!!

A director's vision, blurred and teary.....
A choir that can't respond to theory

Crescendos, Fortes are ignored....
ALAS, ALL SING IN MAD DISCORD.

Regarding metyronomic skill...
Their rhythmic competence is nil....

Non allegiance their demise....
Each week, the choir mutates in size

On Sunday Morn, it's up the creek,
For lack of fervor through the week
Though not the Nat'l Christina choir....
And, leaving much to be desired.....

This rueful bunch in love abounds,
in spite of unmelodic sounds.....

FOURTEEN FOR MY DAUGHTER
BY JEANNE D' ARC
A woman, soon, where yesterday
A child picked cherries
from atop the tree
and swung with wild abandon
Through the leaves,
Now stand sedately in the dappled shade
And dreams of romance
And, in fancy, weaves
A tapestry of things to be
Of constant love and travels afar,
Of great career and wide acclaim
You call and call her name
She does not hear
Or does not heed
For, this today and this place here
Are nothing
As she stands alone......
And each new dream begins
"When I am grown"

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS BY JEANNE D'ARC
Children's eyes sparkle....the smiles on their faces
Santa--and chimneys with tight squeezy places
Carolers lifting their voices to sing
These are a few of my favorite things

Winter's enchantment ...the joy of the season
Families together---magnificent reason
Turkeys, and raisins and food Christmas brings.....
These are a few of my favorite things

Punchkies and raised dough and Winacht's sweet torte
Green granny apples and buttons to sort
Soft glow of Christmas....Kids laughter has wings.....
These are a few of my favorite things

When the cake sinks....
When the sweater shrinks
When I'm feeling sad......
I simply remember my favorite things.....
And, then, I don't feel so bad!!!!

IN THE DISTANT DEEPS-- BY JEANNE D'ARC
In the distant deeps and hollows of your body
burn the passion of my soul
Your eyes.....as lucid pools of keenest topaz

A CHOIR DIRECTOR'S LAMENT BY JEANNE D' ARC
OH, discontent and deep despair
If that's a choir....Life's just not fair

The bases blare, attempt to croon...
If only they could stay in tune!

And, talk about the tenors three--or five or two---what e'er shall be

The altos are a sorry lot....
For, altos, they are truly not

Sopranos stretch beyond their means....
Creating seismographic scenes

In dissonance, the sections wail.....
a 20 on the Richter scale!!

A director's vision, blurred and teary.....
A choir that can't respond to theory

Crescendos, Fortes are ignored....
ALAS, ALL SING IN MAD DISCORD.

Regarding metyronomic skill...
Their rhythmic competence is nil....

Non allegiance their demise....
Each week, the choir mutates in size

On Sunday Morn, it's up the creek,
For lack of fervor through the week
Though not the Nat'l Christina choir....
And, leaving much to be desired.....

This rueful bunch in love abounds,
