Girish and the Chronicles a.k.a GATC, is a band in the hard rock, heavy metal, melodic rock, glam metal musical genres from Gangtok (Sikkim - North India) formed in 2009, by vocalist Girish Pradhan. They are since 2013 based out of Bengaluru in Karnataka (South India). GATC are known for their soaring, powerful vocals, biting guitars, thunderous bass, and pounding drums, staying true to the authentic ‘80s heavy metal/hard rock sound. The line-up consists of Girish Pradhan – Vocals/Guitars ; Suraz Sun – Lead guitars ; Yogesh Pradhan – Bass guitars/Chief studio producer/Keyboards and Nagen Mongranti – Drums.
GATC have opened stage and shared performances in many festivals They have shared stage with Nazareth, Skid Row, Kamelot (UrRock Festival, Switzerland, 2021 & 2022), Bonfire, Mike Tramp (Zurbaran Rock Burgos fest, Spain 2022 & 2023). The band also supported Guns N' Roses at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi (1 July 2023). On 24 June 2023, the band opened for Bullet for My Valentine, Billy Talent, and Alter Bridge on Summerside Festival (Grenchen, Switzerland). In their 11 years existence, they have been credited for bringing the classic hard rock culture back in India and are an inspiration to many new and upcoming bands in the scene.

To date the band has published 3 singles, 3 videos and 3 studio albums : debut album 'Back On Earth' released in 2014 with Universal Music Group India ; 'Rock the Highway' with Lions Pride Music, a Denmark-based record label in April 2020 and 'Hail to the Heroes' via Frontiers Records on 11 February 2022.
