You might think that clichés are acceptable. After all, you constantly use them in conversation. There will be no problems with them, and you will always be understood correctly.
But on the other hand, people are so used to clichés that it's repulsive. They just got tired of reading the same thing.
Respect your readers. They spend time getting to know your text. The least you can do in return is pay extra attention to the article, landing page, letter, or post and come up with your own analogies.
